Helseplattformen chooses Attensi for gamified training across Central Norway

Helseplattformen has signed a two-year agreement with Attensi, awarded after an open public tender where quality was the decisive criterion. Up to 50,000 users across Central Norway can train in simulations built for their own role.

The agreement makes the solution available to all organizations that use Helseplattformen as their health record system. Municipalities are first to adopt it, in selected areas this autumn, and hospitals can follow at a later stage.

Helseplattformen is built on technology from Epic, one of the world’s largest providers of electronic patient record systems, supporting patient care for more than 325 million people worldwide. A system of that scale places serious demands on training, and on keeping competence current as the system changes.

Practice the real situation, at your own pace

Through the agreement, staff in clinical and administrative roles practice using Helseplattformen in the situations they meet at work, in realistic simulations tailored to their own role and tasks. Along the way, they see how their choices affect colleagues and work processes further along the patient pathway.

Today that training happens through classroom courses, videos, knowledge bases and traditional e-learning. In a sector built on shift work, part-time hours and temporary contracts, you rarely get everyone in the same room at the same time. With the new solution, staff practice when it suits them, on mobile or PC, in a safe environment where they can test, fail and learn without consequences for patient care.

“Our users work around the clock across hospitals and municipal services, and they need training that fits their reality. With Attensi, staff can practice real scenarios at their own pace, and see how their actions affect the rest of the patient pathway.”

Built for what comes next

Work begins in October 2026. Over time, Helseplattformen wants to develop the training in-house, and will use Attensi’s content production tools to do it, so its own resource personnel can create and update content as the system and the work processes evolve. Built-in reporting tracks progress over time and documents impact, and the solution integrates with existing competence systems.

“Just as importantly, our own resource personnel will be able to keep the content up to date in the solution,” Warland adds.

“Helseplattformen is one of the most ambitious projects for digital collaboration and patient records in the Nordics, and we are proud to be contributing. When healthcare staff feel confident in the systems they use, they have more time for patients.”

“Together with Helseplattformen, we will make relevant, practice-based training available to thousands of users across the region,” says Golmen.
