CEO and Co-Founder

Trond Aas

Trond co-founded Attensi in 2012 and has spent more than a decade challenging traditional approaches to workplace learning, arguing that training should be measured by performance improvement rather than completion rates.

As co-founder and CEO, he leads Attensi’s mission to transform how organizations develop skills through AI-powered, game-based training, used by over 200 organizations across sectors and industries worldwide.

Trond holds degrees in Physics from the University of Oslo and Georgia Institute of Technology and is a recognized speaker on AI, learning science, and skill mastery. His insights have been featured in publications such as Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Fast Company, The Sunday Times, Financial Times, and HRO Today.

Siobhan joined Attensi from the newsroom, where she spent much of her career as a journalist, most recently serving as Senior News Editor at Sky News. She later transitioned into communications and public relations and now leads Attensi’s global PR and communications strategy, shaping how the company’s research, insights, and thought leadership are communicated to external audiences. Her work has appeared on BBC, Sky News, Fast Company, and PRWeek, and has been recognized with industry accolades, including RTS, BAFTA, Emmy, and BJTC awards.

Sondre Lien Julsrud

Director of Behavioral Science

Sondre joins Attensi from the assessment industry, where he spent seven and a half years at Assessio, one of the largest talent assessment providers in the Nordics. He holds a Master of Science in Organizational Psychology, with a particular focus on psychometrics. At Attensi, he leads efforts to bridge behavioral science and workplace performance, helping ensure the company’s solutions are backed by rigorous evidence and measurable outcomes. His work advances Attensi’s research on how training builds skills, drives behavior change, and improves performance.

why our research matters

Research that moves the conversation forward

At a time of information overload, we focus on research that is credible, relevant, and genuinely useful. We combine behavioral data at scale, academic rigor, and journalist-led storytelling to publish studies on how people learn and perform at work.

Every finding is published alongside its methodology and limitations, giving readers the context needed to interpret the results. Our aim is to contribute meaningful evidence to conversations about workplace learning, behavior change, and performance, while maintaining transparency in how our research is conducted.
